As we enjoyed taking part in the courses run by i2i we have decided to dedicate a page to show some of the pictures that were taken on the second part of the course.

The first task of the day was to recap about bike stability. Tom tells you what to do and how to do it. He also explains the physics behind each process in his own unique way. Usually involving donated bicycle parts or even traffic cones.
We also learned an extremely efficent and stable method of braking. So stable in fact that you can actually brake with only one hand on the handlebars.
Of course the day wouldn't be complete without learning about cornering. We were taught about the benefits of altering your body position on the bike to adjust the centre of gravity to gain clearance when you are lent over. Otherwise known as 'Getting your knee down'
However, clearance problems do arise when you do it wrong as Kieran has in this picture. Note the foot nearly on the tarmac!
There isn't a picture of Lizzie doing it wrong, as she is female and never wrong.

A Big Thank You to the i2i team- Tom, Emma-Jane and Declan for all their hard work in creating a well run and informative course that has given us the knowledge and experience to be safer and more confident riders.
